Our Success Stories
UNITY DAY
Every year at the end of September on the banks of lake Sevan Unity Day takes place which is organized by the Cliff organization. Unity Day gives Armenians an opportunity to come together around the single idea of uniting the young people from Armenia, Armenian Diaspora and Artsak and to promote the concept of a single intergrated culture as well as to build trust in our nation. The project has a continual nature. Over 40 volunteers and staff from Children’s Assistance Fund participate in the event annually.
CHILDREN TO CHILDREN
In January of 2013 CAF completed a project which was called Children to Children. The project was sponsored by the Abovyan Pop and jazz art studio. The aim of the project was to help children from poor families by giving them clothes, food, toys and other necessities. The presents were presented to the children by the students of the Abovyan pop and jazz art studio.
THANK YOU DINNER
Every year CAF organizes a annual Thank You Dinner for the benefactors and friends of CAF in order to recognize them for their unselfish assistance as well as report to them the projects which have been completed during the last year.
BRING YOUNGSTERS CLOSER TO THEIR ROOTS/ WEST ARMENIA
In July of 2012 CAF organized and realized a pilgrimage to West Armenia with the aims of having the youth of Armenia realize the significance of cultural and historical monuments, environmental conservation, as well as expanding the love of their country and religion. CAF believes that the preservation of these values and ideals is critical and passing them down their descendants is of utmost importance. The other goals of this project were to restore and clean the monasteries, churches, monuments of West Armenia. Additionally CAF organized educational courses for Armenia youth in order to give them the appropriate knowledge and sense of patriotism. The project was financed by the Ministry of Sports and Youth.
RENAISSANCE
CAF organized a project which was called Renaissance the aim of which was to baptize poor, invalid, orphan, and ill children and have them blessed by God like any Christian. The project is ongoing and it is financed by the head of CAF’s trustee’s council, the president of Tsakhkatzor Writers Creative Rest House, Movses Manukyan.
THE 24TH OF APRIL
Every year on the 24th of April CAF organizes a march to the Genocide Memorial in Hrazdan to pay tribute the victims of the 1915 Genocide.
LET’S RECOGNIZE AND PRESERVE OUR HERITAGE
Beginning in 2008 CAF has organized an annual project which is called Let’s Recognize And Preserve Our Heritage. The aim of the project is to clean the closed churches, monasteries and cultural and historical monuments of Kotayk Marz and surrounding villages. Environmental signs are placed to prevent further pollution. Additionally CAF organizes educational courses about Armenian history, culture, religion and environmental topics with the help of professionals and priests.
