Our Fund
On September 1, 2014, the Children Assistance Fund NGO established a daycare and development center for children with special needs in Hrazdan, Kotayk Province. It is the only one in the region and there are very few in the republic. Over $100,000 in investments was used to create the center. Investment has made by the Armenian First Lady, Armenian Supreme Patriarch, RA Ministry of Defense, Polish Embassy in Armenia, US Peace Corps in Armenia and many businessmen. A social worker, speech therapist, special educator, physiotherapist, music instructor, art instructor, handicraft instructor, theatrical art instructor, instructor of computer skills,instructor of chess and checkers provide services in the center.
The center closed on October 1, 2016 until the program was financed by the US Embassy in Armenia

Highly qualified instructors provide services for children with special needs helping them to integrate into society especially in educational institutions where they attend.
Successes are more than expected, and many children have made serious progress in health, so there are many success stories. Note that in three years, the center has served many children who have appeared in difficult life situations including:
2014 - 32 children
2015 - 75 children
2016 - 122 children
The center serves the population of the surrounding areas of Kotayk province as well as for the population of the town of Sevan in Gegharkunik province and its adjacent villages. It means that the organization actively cooperates with many governmental structures, ministries and provincial authorities. In particular, many joint programs have been implemented with the IWRM Division of the Kotayk Regional Administration.
